Bot Battery

Bot Battery
Motorcycle will not start?

I have a yamaha r6 and Every morning when I go to ride it, it Will Not start. I charge the battery for about 20 minutes and the bike is ready to go. When I plug the charger the battery Into That it shows the battery is at about the 5th PERCENT, 20 minutes after-the reader says the 100 I take it out to ride and Then in the morning it does Not Want to start. The battery is only 6 months old. During 6 months Bot Those That I Had It Was in the bike shop I work getting frame Because It Fell. What Could Be The Problem?

take the battery out and take it down to auto zone or checkers or whatever You Have auto parts store near by and Have them test the battery. If it's fine, put it back in the bike and get a multimeter and test the voltage across the battery terminals with the bike running at 5,000 rpm. Should be around 14.2v @ 5krpm … it's much less if it's a bad stator, it's much more if it's a bad regulator / rectifier, if it's right around 14.2v Give or take half a volt, you Have A short in your wire harness somewhere. If the battery is bad and you Have to get a new one, make sure it's the sealed maintenance free type, do not get one you Have to add in to battery acid.
