In Europe, however, had a more powerful engine and 2 +2 seating. The CR-X basically was redesigned in 1987 and continued to occur until 1991.

younger drivers in all markets were delighted with the Honda CR-X, said its economy, handling and performance, to say nothing of its appeal great street appeal. One of the companies in the States made the CR-X to a targa topped convertible in the years 1984-1987. The United States also had the 1. 5 L, model HF (or fuel economy is high), the CR-X managed economy even better than before, without any increase in purchase price equal.

Since 1989, the CR-X to share the same 1595 cc engine as the Honda Integra VTEC, and these models were treated to some exterior modifications to the bumpers, the lights and board, too.

There were three different models of second generation and the types of engines available in the United States States. There was a basic model with a 1495 cc engine, the mid-range model was fitted with a valve 8, 1495 cc, and the "Yes" (injection sport) Sport model comes with a valve 16, 1590 cc. The SI model also wore a moon roof which was power operated.

The Japanese CR-X had a glass roof option: a single panel glass, which fell from the hatch to the windshield. These were very popular, and although not available in other countries at that time, have become a very popular model by fans from around the world.

In 1992, the Honda CR-X was replaced by the new Civic, Honda Civic del Sol, which was generally accepted by fans as the engine 3rd generation CR-X. much talk and many rumors have promised a return of the Honda CR-X, and finally makes it appear as if it might be one of the series in the future Honda hybrid next.
