electric guitar tuning problem?
I changed a string on my Yamaha then tuned with electronic tuner. but i play any chord is off and it sounds horrible! I checked on my acoustic and 5th fret there was a difference in the tone chain. How can you be in tune and so far away? How I can fix it? I tried to pull the ropes on several occasions.
I would change all the strings at the same time …. because if you have two different brands of strings it may sound off …. also, if the other strings of the guitar strings are higher …. then the new string will sound much brighter and out of place compared with the rest of the chains of old ….. I would buy a set of strings …. first, but if that fails it might be that the intonation is off the chain yamaha …. you have to adjust to fix the bridge …. but do not adjust the bridge unless you know what you are doing because this could throw the whole guitar sound out .. .. and make it sound really terrible …….
