I would like to model toy or action figure, what kind of clay do these artists use? pls help?
If you see figures or in a format like Superman or Wonder of the toy figures, which all started with a clay model, which looks something like white or ivory color, what type of clay is that? and harden or cause to be baked? need answers pls?
Sounds as if looking Milliput, which is an epoxy putty to make models. See their website here: http://www.milliput.co.uk/home.htm You can also use clay, Sculpey, Fimo or Cernit clays, which are polyvinyl chloride clays that harden LOW temps when baked. PVC These clays come in small bricks or logs and is pretty sure that you follow the instructions exactly. It becomes very soft and flexible when working with your fingers or run through a pasta machine, but hardensand maintains its shape well when baked. You can find this material at Joann Fabrics and Michaels craft stores, Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Some hobby shops and train and most artist supply stores have it.
