… What would be the deliciously cheesy and outrageous Godzilla 1965 entry, "Invasion of Astro-Monster," which was released here in the States as "Monster Zero." This was, and remains, one of the largest, and one of the most fun to watch Godzilla movies, scene after scene after scene the work ….. cheesy miniature model ….. extravagant costumes, as Devo, who led the invading aliens (… very tight gray and black vinyl, with a Cyclops-like peaks and a radio Ariel feet long protruding from the top of the head )…… the presence of Americans in a teen idol Nick Adams, who had some of the corniest dialogue (…."… Finks !!!"). stinking rats This film, when released in the United States, was originally double peak with "The War of the Gargantua", starring another American teen idol, Russ Tamblyn, and much like the theaters were then, every time I ran "…. Astro-Monsters "at home, I always precede or follow up with "…. "….. Gargantuas … a couple of interesting objects: When the aliens come to Earth to capture Godzilla and Rodan in these giant bubbles suspended animation Godzilla does not even sleep, it looks as if he were sucking his finger, and Rodan, also asleep, they look exactly like a monster-sized turkey for Thanksgiving dinner?? Also, what about the scandalous dance jumpity jump victory, by Godzilla, Rodan and when he beat the living snot out of King Ghidorah, when they were taken to the foreign planet called Planet X??
