Anyone out there like scrolling shooters (still)?
I'm talking about games like R-Type, Gradius, Thunderforce (TF VI is coming 10/30 in Japan), Ikaruga, Darius Twin, Radiant Silvergun, Psyvariar, Tohou Project …. (Yes, I am mentioning some Danmaku, who love the hardcore games). I think I can sum up the three most people know about: R-Type, Gradius, and Darius. Anyone who play these games, played, or even like them? Am talking about games like R-Type, Gradius, Thunderforce (TF VI is the 10/30 in Japan) Tohou Project Ikaruga, Darius Twin, Radiant Silvergun, Psyvariar, …. (Yes, Danmaku am naming some, who love the hardcore games). I think I can sum up to three more people know about: R-Type, Gradius, and Darius. Any person who playing these games, played, or even like them? (And for those who are curious, I am only a female shooter fan.: 3)
I still enjoy of them. I think they are only popular among the hardcore players or more players who grew up with them. Most people today want fancy graphics, no deal game unless it is in 3D. It's a shame really, there are some great games you're missing.
