Japan Battery
I can not find a place to questioni Makita client / service on recharge. bat.s now made by China, was Japan?
I have a cordless drill Makita. Back about 6 years ago when I bought the drill, which came with a factory rechargeable "Japan made" battery. When necessary to replace the battery, it costs 50.00 and is now made in China (is labeled PA09 1.3Ah v 9.6) is not holding a charge. It is futile to spend $ 50.00 on a battery when I can buy a new drill w / battery factory Makita make about $ 150.00. I've had it for only 2 years. I wonder if there are other rechargeable batteries for cordless tools made in China that are having the same problem. I can not find a place to ask or see if this is a constant problem. I would like a refund or a better replacement.
Rechargeable batteries are usually bad killed by "dendrites" whiskers metal needles to cut the plates. Supposedly, that can be cured battery giving a jolt to a welding arc. Check Youtube or Google for demonstrations and instructions. Probably most of the welders know this trick. Some may be willing to try this for you for a reasonable price, say a tenspot or a case of beer. If that fails, buy a new drill with a higher voltage battery. Makita sold a lot of exercises based on its reputation as the best batteries to use the company.
