How does Optimus Prime to become the leader of the Autobots? – Chito and Manalac Teresa?

Now, the first Prime differs from all generations, but the original is from Prima> First Nova> Sentinel Prime> Optimus Prime> Rodimus Prime (only in cartoon version) In the battle Cybertron, Sentinel was about to die and pass the array to Optimus, thus becoming the leader Optimus Prime and the autobots. Also, Optimus is said to be a Direct deceased Prima, the first of the Government, making him the next leader of the election regardless Sentinels.
