Attorney from hell!?
Please help me with writing an email to one of the new attorneys here.
My problem with her is that she gives me everything to be copied. It could be one page to a hundred pages. You see that’s why we a “repro department”. And she knows this! But the a-hole stills gives things for me to copy. Today is the last time I’ll be copying anything for her. I would like to write a really professional sounding email to her letting her know that she should send EVERYTHING to repro for copying. But the right words don’t seem to be coming out of me. So far I have, “Hey, sleestak (the creatures (bad guys) from The Land of the Lost television series), don’t give me anything to copy. THAT’S NOT MY JOB!!!
Do NOT e-mail. Just wait for the next copy job, and when she asks you to do it just say, “I’ll run it down to be copied right now. How soon do you need it back?” She may not even realize there is such a department, or she may need it back sooner than the repro department can do it.
Unfortunately, your job is to do whatever (assuming it is legal) that your boss tells you to do. I don’t like it sometimes either. If you are not happy with what you are being told to do, start looking for another job. Being fired for insubordination will not help you.
