Mini Cooking
No house would be perfect without food in the cupboard or a spread on the table, and a dollhouse is no different. To actually create the impression of a tiny world, food is a prerequisite, and making small food precisely for the purpose of a dollhouse is a popular past time for many adults and children.
Now, you could have read that and had visions of making an attempt to fry a small portion of egg in a frying pan, but fear not. The concept is simply to create things that look like food, not essentially edible mini meals itself – even for the most dedicated dollhouse enthusiast that would be taking things a little far! Instead, making food for a dollhouse is no different a technique to making a chair or a rug. Cooking for a dollhouse gives the entire creation a new edge, and it needn’t be as hard as you may imagine.
The options for small dollhouse food are, quite simply, unending. If you have a particularly ornate and and historic dollhouse, perhaps even a traditional Victorian set up, then perhaps something like a tea and cake party is appropriate. Or perhaps you would like to add a fruit bowl to complete off the look of a dining suite, or maybe small tins to put in cupboards. The chances are endless; all you need is a little patience and a willingness to pass some time perfecting the look.
If you like a challenge, then the cake party scene is an ideal place to start. It also has the advantageous of never being officially finished; you can keep adding to it as your talents improve. The goal is to form little cakes to go on any china dishes you could have, that will show off the entire dollhouse to great effect.
This may be in the shape of an actual, Full Size item to work from ; this could give you an idea of the shape and look you are trying to recreate, even tho in a smaller size. If you have seen an extremely beautiful cake, you will find a picture and attempt to repeat it precisely – this is massively preferable to making an attempt to work from memory, as this is where errors can occur.
There are several reasons for polymer clays enduring role in making small food ; it is durable, easy to use, simple to find and purchase, simple to work with and it comes in a variety of colors. It is possible to construct a whole cake – including sponge base, icing and finishing touches – using nothing but polymer clay. It is from this most useful of materials that the majority of small food is formed, and for excellent reasons ; it also gives a very lifelike finish to whatever you make.
With a little time and patience, a good quantity of polymer clay and some real life inspiration to work from, soon miniature food fit for a king will be served.

Because if so …..DANG!! JUST 3 EPISODES……Bummer… I hope it goes on for a while! My favorite character is Glitch!;-)
It was a mini series, it was 3 two hour episodes.
If you are familiar with sci fi when they do a mini series like that and it does well typically within one year they make plans to do a series. They did it with Battlestar Galactica.
