In the 1870s were copper pots and pans rare?
I know cast iron was used. But I can not find evidence that copper is to ordinary people. Thanks, copper is more expensive though, so do not know if it was a common theme of the house or not …
I have no solid answer, I can not see why it would be. Copper was one of the metal before discovered. In any case, it would be replaced by cast iron.
