I subscribe to Directv and then add a differant make / model of receiver can still activate it?
New receiver is the model E1 and receiver uses an older model D1, for example?
As long as the receiver is designed to operate the DirecTV system, they will activate. You recipients do not need to play, if that's what you're asking about.
