Robotic Arms and Robotics

The word Driver Robot comes from the Czech word’robota’, meaning’forced labor.’ the stuff of scifi robotics in the 21st century is different than your ma and pa or your grandparents? Concepts of robotics. What used to be thought of as hi-tech improbability is now becoming a fact.

There are, in prinicple, 3 Laws of Robotics. The Laws of Robotics were developed by a little group of scientists who think that robotics is the wave of the future. The first law, known as law nil, is a robot may not injure humanity, or, though inaction, permit humanity to come to harm. The second law states a robot may not injure a homo sapien, or, thru inaction, allow a homo sapien to come to hurt, unless this would violate a higher order law. This law was made so that mankind would seek not to make robots that would harm folks. The third law is that a robot must obey orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with a higher order law. And lastly the last law is a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not contest with a higher order law. These were employed in a Hollywood movie however many people don?t know that the Laws of Robotics actually exists.

According to The Robot Institute of America a robot is a ?reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator engineered to move materials, parts, tools, or specialised devices through various programmed motions for the performance of a spread of tasks.’ This is a scientific sounding outline however the majority just think of androids as machine that mimic their counterparts. In practical use, a robot is a mechanical device which performs automated jobs.

The most developed Driver Robot in practical use today is the robotic arm and it is seen in applications throughout the world. We use robotic arms to perform perilous work like when working with dangerous materials. We use robotic arms to do work in Outer Space where man can not survive and we use robotic arms to do work in the medicinal field like conducting experiments without exposing the researcher.

Some of the most complicated robotic arms have such amenities as a rotating base, pivoting shoulder, pivoting elbow, rotating wrist and gripper fingers. All these comforts permit the robotics arm to do work that closely resembles what a person can do only without the danger.

Robot arm Physics question?

Hello, my friend and I have been working on this problem, but still do not know where to start: a robotic arm that controls the position of a video camera in an automatic surveillance system is manipulated by an actuator that exerts a force on a pusher. The force is given by f (x) = x ^ 2, where X is the position of the end of the push rod. If it moves pusher x1 = x2 = 0m to 11m, how much work made the servo motor do? Answer in units of J.

You are given the force function F (x) = x ^ 2, and you know that dW = F (x) dx * Therefore, integrating to obtain: W = [(3.1) * x ^ 3] evaluated at x = 11 That'll be your answer.
