I, Robot
I've been writing comments and express the morality of some of my favorite movies, which, as it seems, are mostly dramas and animations. Just to balance things, I want to mention a science fiction movie this time. I particularly liked I, Robot because it had action, had thought he had a point, which was very funny in parts, was not excessively violent and guess what, there was no love scene. Although sometimes I think no film is complete without a love scene, because I'm a hopeless romantic, sometimes not really necessary and becomes excessively used.
The film is in Chicago in 2035, where robots have been developed to the point where they are used in almost every home. The only person in all of Chicago, who have not robot is a homicide detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) who has an intense dislike for robots because of a personal experience with their lack of humanity.
The film begins to gain momentum with the start of an investigation that the lands in the lap of Detective Spooner. A Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell) seems to have committed suicide jumping from the window of his office. Dr. Lanning was the inventor of the Three Laws of Robotics, the laws by which all robots are required to protect human and co-founder of the U.S. Robotics (USR), a highly successful company that specializes in robotic technology.
USR just launched a new line of robots called NS-5. Each robot is equipped with an uplink to the center of the positronic brain of URS VIKI (Virtual Interactive Kinetic Intelligence). The Detective Spooner investigates more, it is believed that the death of Dr. Lanning was not a suicide. When Detective Spooner examines the office of Dr. Lanning is an NS-5 robot bursts of hiding and fleeing.
When Spooner interrogates the Robot From the office of Dr. Lanning, is that this robot is quite unique, it even has a name, Sonny. During Sonny interview shows emotions such as anger and fear, qualities that robots do not possess. Sonny Before you can say anything incriminating, which is taken as discharged by the general director USR.
After careful consideration and a search of the house of Dr. Lanning, who almost killed him, Detective Spooner begins to think something was threatening Lanning and that Lanning was trying to say that something is wrong with the robots.
It has long been debates about the development of technology is a positive step for humanity, or if it is feeding our own laziness and destruction. I guess the thing to remember is that we as human beings do not always think rationally and logically as computers, weighing up pros and cons of faster routes, the best results. We usually base decisions on feelings and experiences past. If we were to consider things like a computer would probably be better to have studied something different at university because it is worth more money, or is likely it is best to buy only white cars are more practical because they either do not have any other food except meat and vegetables. I think everything is so importance of finding the perfect balance of evolution to make life better and the creation of machinery to feed our inability to control our own lives.
