The I-Robot Roomba 610 Professional – The Best Vacuum Cleaner – Period

Some friends and I were talking this evening, and somehow the subject of vacuum cleaners became topic of conversation. After considerable effort, we managed to turn the conversation into a full-blown argument about who actually made the best vacuum cleaner. All sorts of criteria, for being the best vacuum cleaner, were thrown about, such as sucking power, dependability and the like. However, in the end, common sense and I prevailed.

While the others made very persuasive arguments about what constitutes the best vacuum cleaner, ultimately it was the simplest of reasons that made my Roomba 610 Pro, by I-Robot, the clear and obvious winner. What was the reason? Ok, I will tell you. It was sheer laziness, and I am not too proud to admit it.

I can positively state that the I-Robot Roomba 610 Professional is, absolutely and unequivocally, the best vacuum cleaner ever produced by a human being. Nothing anyone can say will convince me otherwise. I just do not care! While it may lack significant power and a see through canister, it more than makes up for with its intelligence and work ethic. No janitor or house cleaner works harder. In addition, I can tell it to stay out of my computer room, and it actually listens.

I was fortunate enough to receive mine as a bonus type gift, from a company for which I wrote some IT articles. Mind you, I would never personally spend 600 dollars for a vacuum cleaner; however, it would have been rude of me to refuse to accept the vacuum.

This vacuum cleaner is the coolest, most awesome, wickedest thing ever invented. (I think this is the appropriate vernacular these days). I write for more hours in a day than I care to admit, and I can barely fathom the thought of pushing a broom or vacuum. Moreover, since I inevitably always buy the cheapest vacuum I can find, I have to vacuum twice as long; whereas a better vacuum would have been much more efficient and convenient. In addition, being a closet cheapskate, I would always insure my vacuum was hidden from the condemning eyes of guests and friends. But, not anymore!

There a number of reasons I think the Roomba 610 Pro is the best vacuum ever produced. It is built like a tank, you can easily program it where to go (and where not) and it even recharges itself. I have not physically made contact with mine in a couple of months; yet, I can hear it purring away in the hallway. My cat, however, does attack the robot vacuum on occasion. However, the Roomba does not seem to pay her much mind.

I-Robot certainly got it right with the Roomba 610 Pro. I do not see how you mere mortals can survive without one. If you have not guessed by now, I am so very, very pleased with my robot helper, and I just thought you all should know. Of course, everything above is my humble opinion and nothing else. However, it is the best vacuum ever made!

Has America thought of a fully unmanned Main Battle Tank for the Future?

I figured with most nations getting rid of loaders whilst adding auto loading systems. Now the latest seems to be removing all crew from the turret and having a Commander and Driver in the hull front (Like T95 Tank and US future Tank).I say why not have a totally unmanned Main Battle Tank (like a tank version of the Predator Drone). Would there be problems with calculating terrain or are there systems out there already such as Mars Rover or unmanned robots I’ve seen on Future Weapons. What are your thoughts, Cheers John.

Seriously doubt it. For one thing, a human loader is faster than an auto loader. Also it would be extremely difficult driving a tank.

While there wouldn’t be anyone in the vehicle as you suggest, you would need a huge support team to keep up with maintenance. What would happen if the tank threw track, or the computer went out.

There will always be manned tanks. They might go down to a 3 man crew having the TC pull double duty and handle the gunner’s functions as well.
