I can silver solder with a kitchen torch?

I'm making silver jewelry and a tight budget and the money very space (I'm working on my little apartment!) can get enough heat from a butane kitchen torch (for the Catalan cream)? I just know that the surface to surface, not end to end. Thanks for help

You can use any source of heat it receives above the melting temperature of solder is used (usually around 500 to 700 degrees). Micro butane torches burning around 2200 degrees, so you should not have any problem. What you need to take care of damage to the surrounding torches Micro butane flame material is smaller than other torches (propane, MAPP gas cutting) but are much less accurate than a soldering iron. You can pick up a plate for fairly cheap (<$ 25) in most home stores hardware. Also prevent the burning of the house!
