What happened to the first Apollo space craft ten?
My kind of story I was doing a project on the first manned lunar landing. Apollo 11 was the first successful mission, and what happened to the other 10 ships?
The Apollo program requires the use of specifically developed several rockets. There were ten unmanned test flights of the Saturn an elevator, which flew in October '61, '65 and July. They were numbered SA-1 to 10. This led to the 1B rocket Saturn, which first flew in February '66 unmanned. The first three flights 1B, unmanned, were retroactively and unofficially called Apollo 1-3, but officially counted as AS-201 to 203. The first Apollo manned flight for Apollo 1 was officially called, resulted in the crew died during a test platform Jan 27, 1967. The rocket (AS-204) was used in early 1968 to launch the first unmanned Lunar Module, and then called Apollo 5. Apollo 4 and 6 were flights unmanned test of the two engines first Saturn V, SA-501 and 502. Apollo 7 was the first manned flight of Apollo rocket launched by a Saturn 1B (AS-205), the October 11, 1968. Apollo 8 was launched on Saturn V AS-503, into the orbit of the moon with a crew of December 21, 2968. Apollo 9 was launched on AS-504, in the orbit of the Earth, to make the first test with an endowment from the lunar module, the March 3, 1968. Apollo 10 mission was the same test, but did so in lunar orbit, and was launched by Saturn V AS-505 May 18, '69. Apollo 11, of course, launched the first moon landing on July 16, 1969. Your LM eagle landed on 20 July. Apollo was through Apollo 17 (released December 7, '72), and then traveled the last Saturn V launched Skylab, which was visited by three Saturn 1B carry up crews, and the last of the Apollo Saturn and Apollo Soyuz was launched July 15, 1975 in AS-210.
