RTS game Supreme Commander is a step forward
There once was a time when RTS games were archaic and simple, it was not so long ago to be quite frank, but things have changed dramatically in a very short time. Video in real time PC strategy games are beginning to raise quality to enable players to wage war on the battlefield site with large-scale graphics. Of course, some games are better than others, but there is a new one called Commander Supreme is a level above the rest.
When he was released February 20, 2007 by Gas Powered Games, Supreme Commander was received with great expectations. The long- awaited release has finally arrived and has been shown that this game is all real time strategy as promised to be and more. Players can participate in multiple land, air and naval battles in the very moment that the transport of troops across large aircraft, sending devastating air attacks with bombers, down their enemies with tank divisions or even kill an enemy position with a nuclear weapon.
Just a decade ago were still RTS games in its infancy. The Internet was something that could only be accessed via relatively slow phone lines. Real-time interaction was slow and primitive. The first Games simply do not have the benefit of advanced technology such as computers and fast broadband connections to the Internet.
Although the first strategy games real-time video was fun, was not very impressive in terms of style. Technology could not keep up with the creative concepts of the designers of these games. The serious players of these early games do not mind though, because there were more than happy to leave the default format of Playstation, Nintendo, and Xbox games.
At first RTS games offer a new format that may actually be part of the game, and the process results. The players were very happy of doing something new, different and exciting. After all, these were the games that you could access the Internet and fight with people all over the world! That alone was impressive for the time.
Until recently, the games real time strategy video became more about the battle with the economy and tactics than they were on the use of complex strategies to make large-scale war. Supreme Commander is a different story for that offering players of PC games a game battlefield incredibly Large Scale.
While in the distant future, Supreme Commander uses modern war tactics and strategies warfare. There are three factions of the left and humans are all fighting for something different. The United Earth Federation believes in order and the rule, the group Cybran cyberspace is fighting for independence and abroad, enlightened Aeon group is trying to rid the universe.
In the past, bigger is better does not always has been the idea in mind for the developers of RTS games. But that has changed now that technology has improved greatly.
Supreme Commander refers to the idea of immensity as a ranger in Alaska. There are large-scale battlefields average 20 km x 20 km in size, and some who have incredibly large size of 81 km x 81 km!
This game has the potential strategy somewhat complex, but is first and foremost on the scale. Players can design plans that involve the creation of large armies that can fight simultaneously across large areas. While it is mainly on the size, the gameplay is challenging a variety of scenarios of victory along with the stimulating action multi-player that plays like a game of Monopoly with lethal weapons.
With all the recent publicity Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 have received in connection with its impressive new technology, it is good to see that video in real-time strategy games in the site is on a par with them. While some games are better than others is the Supreme Commander in the top of the list. Fields scale battle this game offers is quite impressive, allowing players to all workers in the war with multiple armies at once.
The size is the most impressive, but also offers a complex game with multiple scenarios for victory. Moreover, the rapid pace at which the action plays out a challenge even cyber warriors more followers.
