Game Tapes

How do you record a show or in my case, a game of football without DVR or TiVo?

My son is coming to my house on Christmas Day and the day of the magazine is the next game, do not get many opportunities to watch the games together. I wondered if there was any way to record or record games without buying or TiVo DVR. I've heard of saving it to disk or tape, but I do not know how to do that. The answers are good. Thanks

You can get a DVD burner, which work like a VCR. The cheapest will have an external tuner. At best quality you receive about 2 hours per disc, for more will have to reduce quality.
