How do I safely remove rust from Tin Toy lithograph of time?
I love collecting Tin Toys, however I can find the Vintage Toy often contains some mold. Can someone help me clean them safely? Is there a special item I need to buy?
I do restorations, toy and I use CLR "The calcium lime rust removal. be careful when removing the oxide do this very, very slowly and dilute the CLR – will a special ability over time. I also use a bondo base tin and matching paint to restore the toy to its previous pristine condition but again this process takes me at least a month for each toy as I can do this as a hobby.check out restoration work on the web toy is zillions!
