Tomy Wind
Is it possible to open several orders of securities at a time?
Sorry, I know the title is not descriptive but basically say that I have $ 1,000 in my account. Is it possible to have a limit order for the opinion of Citigroup for $ 1000 and an order for say $ 1,000 and face of what one has limit is hit my first purchase? sometimes ill have an order of citizens say at 2.50 and would like another side of 5.20 to, say my order is from Citi at 2.50 but face winds up getting the number tomy first but I can not buy it b / ci was watching and my order was opened to the public.
Depends on your broker. You need one that offers advanced orders. Whether you need here is an OCO order. (One Cancels Other) With advanced technologies such order may be placed two or more resolutions and as soon as one is filled, the other is canceled. The use of an OCO can place their orders required both for $ 1000. Since only be filled, you are not superior your available cash. Scottrade provides UCO and other advanced orders. I suspect that many of the other guys better do it too. Runners super cheap probably do not. I'm sure you know this, but as an additional point, if you only have $ 1,000 in your account, place an order for $ 1,000. You have to leave some to the commission.
