Vintage Zenit Camera … shutter stuck!?
I have a Zenith camera, approximately 50 years of age. I tried to find out which model it is, but can not find any pictures that look the same. I think it is around 1953-1958. However, I do not think it with the original lens I'ts got a prize as BRussells "1958 37 mm" is again open, so loads of films on the back. The shutter seems to have stuck, and it will not move at all and the wind, usually in the arm to move from time to time. There is a quiet click when you press the i button to take a picture. The shutter only very slightly shaken, I can not open, only Permantly closed. I live in the UK and was wondering if anyone out there know what might be wrong in any place and know you can repairing vintage cameras. I really want this fixed and wearable camera, was sentimental because my uncle gave me. Thanks for any help!
DO NOT WD40 place anywhere near the camera !!!!!!! It is totally wrong to use lubricant. After establishing the mechanism for the advancement of film or models old SLR shutter cocking are like dominoes, pressing the shutter button starts a chain of events.
