The Golden State Warriors continue to fight their way back to the NBA Finals
Today, the Golden State Warriors are something of an enigma. Why his name represents an entire state? Who are the "Warriors" that his name mean? Have you ever won an NBA championship? Like other NBA teams, the Warriors have an illustrious history, and definitely worth saying.
Where did the name "Warrior" originate? The NBA team named after a former ABL team, the Philadelphia Warriors.
The Warriors made their NBA debut in the 1962-1963 season, although his previous name was San Francisco Warriors. His team presented Wilt Chamberlain, arguably one of the best NBA players of all time. However, the Warriors watched the playoffs from home after a disappointing 31-49 season. Interestingly, the Cow Palace was the site of origin of the Warriors.
Surprisingly, the Warriors achieved huge success in just his second season in the NBA in San Francisco. Thanks to a solid rotation of seven players, the Warriors finished first in their division of the West, winning a record from 1948 to 1932. The Warriors outlasted the St. Louis Hawks, after facing a playoff series in seven games. However, the Boston Celtics, then rolled the Warriors in five games for the sixth consecutive previous years NBA championship.
Just three seasons later, during 1966-1967, the San Francisco Warriors had a stellar season. It ended with a 44-37 record. The Warriors quickly dismissed Los Angeles Lakers, with three consecutive victories, then needed six games to dispose of the St. Louis Hawks again. Wilt Chamberlain played in the NBA Finals this season, but to the chagrin of the Warriors-started for the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers proved to be the top team, defeating the Warriors 4-2 in the NBA Finals.
The Warriors moved from San Francisco to Oakland before the season 1971-1972. The team hopes to attract a larger fan base, which alternates its name to the "Golden State Warriors. Since 1968, California's nickname was" The " Golden State. This was the monumental 1848 discovery of gold in California.
Just three seasons after moving to Oakland, the Golden State Warriors struck gold. The team made some bold moves before the season 1974-1975, which bore fruit. Although the NBA playoffs against the Washington Bullets were tight (two games had a margin of 1 point), the Warriors Bullets swept the series 4-0.
While it lacks the following range of other NBA teams, the Golden State Warriors have remained a solid team throughout their history, making three trips to championship series in the NBA.
