Lost Review 3.30.2010 Season 6 Episode 10

This week on Lost the story line revolved around Jin and Sun’s relationship in both the sideways timeline and on the island. The title of the episode was “The Package” and unfortunately it didn’t deliver like last week’s powerful episode. The island happenings were a bit slow as the three factions kind of waited around for the impending war to start.

In the sideways timeline Jin and Sun are not married but they are deeply in love. Jin is still involved with some criminal activity for Mr. Paik. Jin ends up being held captive at the restaurant in the flash sideways timeline by Mikhail Bakunin, who now has both of his eyes. Remember that he wore an eye patch back on the island. But then later in the episode Jin shoots Mikhail in the right eye in an ironic twist of fate…but isn’t Lost just one big ironic twist of fate?

Back on the island the man in black continues his manipulative mind games with people, including Sun. The man in black tries to use her relationship with Jin as leverage, but she remains distrusting of him. She ends up bumping her head as she tries to escape from him and then loses her ability to speak English. Widmore and MIB end up meeting but nothing really happens, although we get a real good taste of the hatred and distrust they have of each other.

The big twist came at the end as it was revealed that Desmond was the one on the submarine. Which begs the question of why does Widmore need him on the island? And if I were Ben I would be shaking in my boots right about now because both of them have a lot of reasons to go after him. Let’s hope next week’s episode provides us with some great revelations and forward movement.

Need movie reviews and related links?

Need other sources for movie reviews as IMDB can be very misleading. eg: MIB
I d rather watch movies that are publicly acclaimed and not critically acclaimed as I think most of the regular voters at IMDB fall in this category.
The Shawshank Redemption is an excellent movie and the best prison movie I ve seen but is it the greatest movie ever made?

Please give any links or names of good movies in the genre I love such as Gangsters, Crime, War, Prison, Action, Thrillers, Adventure or your all time fav list.
Some of my fav are:
Gangsters: Goodfellas, Godfather1,2..
Crime: Heat, The Departed, Leon, Pulp Fiction..
Superhero: The Dark Knight, Batman Begins..
Sci-Fiction: The Matrix, Transformers..
War: 300. Troy..
Thriller-Horror: Seven, American Psycho, Death Proof, Saw…
Others: The Bourne series(Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum)
Terminator series
Die Hard series
Snatch
The Untouchables
MIB…

You can try Rotten Tomatoes. They have good reviews and I seem to agree with them a lot.

Crime: Oceans 11
Superhero: Watchmen
Sci-Fi: Alien, Jurassic Park
Thriller-Horror: Any Steven King movie (Rosemary’s Baby, Langoliers, etc.)
